The 30th Congress of the Slovak Ophthalmological Society (SOS) was held in Bratislava from November 13 to 15, 2025. The program was organized into the following sections: cornea, lens and cataract, glaucoma, retina, oculoplastics, endocrine orbitopathy, neuro-ophthalmology, oncology, pediatric ophthalmology, and young ophthalmologists.
The first day of the congress began on a high note with the presentation of the first Slovak translation of the latest edition of the Terminology and Guidelines for Glaucoma of the European Glaucoma Society (EGS). Assoc. Prof. Nora Majtánová subsequently presented a novel preservative-free therapeutic option and compared the safety of trabeculectomy and the Preserflo MicroShunt implant.
The glaucoma session welcomed colleagues from the Czech Republic and Prof. Giuseppe Giannaccare with a lecture on Corneal neurotization. A dedicated section was also devoted to endocrine orbitopathy.
On the second day, Prof. Syril Dorairaj (Mayo Clinic, Florida) delivered a keynote lecture: MIGS / Advancement of Glaucoma Surgery with intraoperative videos.

Awards of the SOS were presented to Slovak and Czech ophthalmologists for their contributions to the field.
