The goal of this SIG is to further the promotion of knowledge about the diagnosis, treatment and management of angle closure disease in all its forms.
1) Update on Angle Closure SIG activities
DAP: Danish Angle Closure Prevention Trial The SIG meeting 2022 at EGS meeting in Athens agreed that for the next year the main research focus would be to support a proposed trial of LPI for PACS in Europeans. This was presented by Niklas Telinius with several ideas as to how to make such an RCT feasible and included novel sample size modelling and a proposal to conduct patient focus groups to inform trial design.
2) Last year’s choices of relevant papers to the Angle Closure

The search for EGS goal of “Paving the Way to Better Glaucoma Care” continues together with Outcome and other EGS Committees as well as SIGs, i.e. how to promote the best possible well-being and minimal glaucoma-induced visual disability in individuals with glaucoma within affordable healthcare systems.
The views expressed are those of the author(s) and are not necessarily those of the EGS.
