Executive Committee

The mission of the EGS Executive Committee is to devise strategies to achieve the vision of the EGS, to manage the Society by executing responsibilities decreed in the statutes and to identify and mentor young glaucomatologists who share the vision of the EGS.

Committees




To achieve its aims, the EGS is divided in 4 themes: Innovation, Education, Communication and Implementation. The various Committees work to achieve the Society's goals and are organised as follows.

Innovation-dedicated committees

Develop interaction between academics and stimulate collaborative working to promote the vision of the EGS.

Education-dedicated committees

Promote evidence-based practice and life-long learning through systemic, comprehensive and often renewed training.

Communication-dedicated committees

Communicate the importance of glaucoma, the EGS vision, missions, actions and their outcomes as well as promote cooperative partnerships between all stakeholders involved in glaucoma care

Implementation-dedicated committees

Facilitate delivery of uniform, evidence-based, high quality care at a sustainable cost across diverse European healthcare systems.
