Who am I?
I am a professor of ophthalmology, Chairman Emeritus of the Tadeusz Krwawicz Chair of Ophthalmology, Medical University of Lublin, Poland (1991-2006), member of the Academia Ophthalmologica Internationalis (Chair XLVIII). I was Principal Investigators in several clinical trials concerning glaucoma (Express miniature implant in glaucoma (Optonol); CAT 152 study III phase; Efficacy and safety of tafluprost 0.015% eye drops). I am still active in private practice managing the Eye Surgery Centres in Cracow, Rzeszów and Lublin.

Why did I join the Society?
We plan to study the genetic influence on the course and treatment response of glaucoma patients in our centres in cooperation with Department of Glaucoma of the Tadeusz Krwawicz Chair of Ophthalmology, Medical University in Lublin. I hope that the educational materials accessible for the EGS members will be helpful in our study.

What can EGS do for me?
I hope that EGS membership will facilitate the cooperation with international glaucoma experts and give an opportunity to share and discuss the results of our study. We plan to actively participate in the EGS scientific activities.
